Application
This is a cable between the J1939 round Deutsch 9-pin connector (test equipment side - mates to the J1939 vehicle) and a D-Sub DA15 pin female connector (female vehicle side - mates with an OBD2 test connector). The J1939 +/- data lines are connected to the CAN +/- lines, and the power and ground lines are also connected.
Some ELDs such as KeepTruckin ELDs can be connected to commercial vehicles that have the 9-pin round Deutsch ports with this cable. These ELDs have the DB15P male ports, so DB15P female socket on this cable is needed.
This cable can also allow diagnostic tools or scanners or fault code readers (with the appropriate software) to connect to the round J1939 connector.
